Tahlequah owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They came out on top against the Jenks Trojans by a score of 3-0. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Trojans on their field since August 13, 2016.

Nobody will forget Zoie Griffin's heroic performance anytime soon (especially Jenks' batters): she turned in a perfect game. Griffin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 21 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lilly Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in September. Jordan Stark was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Tahlequah hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 34 consecutive matchups.

Tahlequah has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 22 of their last 26 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Jenks, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-16-1.

Coming up, Tahlequah will challenge Bixby at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jenks, they will face off against Charles Page at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
