Basketball Game Preview: Highland Hawks vs. Higley Knights

The Highland Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Higley Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Highland lost to Williams Field on the road by a 48-30 margin. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Black Hawks are ranked 17th).

Highland's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Peyton Jacobsen, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Emilee Searle, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Higley hadn't done well against Queen Creek recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Higley blew past Queen Creek 63-42. The Knights pushed the score to 61-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Higley, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
