Volleyball Recap: Lincoln High Links vs. Fremont Tigers
Lincoln High had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 1-10 to make it eight. They lost 3-0 to the Fremont Tigers. The Links were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.
Haidyn Case paced Lincoln High's offense, picking up eight kills. Case got some help from Kenna Thompson and her nine assists.
As for Fremont, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0).
Fremont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jenna Ellsworth, who had 12 digs. That's the most digs Ellsworth has posted over her last eight matchups. Mallory Meyer also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Lincoln High has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Benson on the 18th. As for Fremont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Pius X on the 18th.
