Softball Recap: Grandview Has No Trouble Against Cherry Creek

Grandview was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Cherry Creek on Tuesday. The Wolves put the hurt on the Bruins with a sharp 10-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won seven in a row.

Aaliyah Carter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Ally Birx was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddie Donaldson, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Grandview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in five consecutive games.

Grandview's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Cherry Creek, their record is now an identical 12-8.
