Softball Recap: Grandview's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Grandview had lost four games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 12-8 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Cherry Creek Bruins. Considering the Wolves have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Aaliyah Carter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ally Birx, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Maddie Donaldson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Grandview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They are 10-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

As for Cherry Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with Grandview: they've now lost seven in a row.

On Cherry Creek's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Brown, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

As of now, neither Grandview nor the Bruins have any future games scheduled.
