Football Game Preview: Junction City Bluejays vs. Derby Panthers + Official Tickets

Junction City is 0-3 against Derby since November of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Bluejays will square off against the Panthers. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Junction City is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past West, posting a 55-7 victory. Given the Bluejays' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Pioneers are ranked 169th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Derby got themselves on the board against Topeka on Friday, but Topeka never followed suit. They blew past the Trojans 49-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Junction City's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Derby, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Junction City was taken down by Derby 42-14 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bluejays were down 42-0.
