Basketball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

Concord was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 71-23 loss at the hands of the Benicia Panthers. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-6.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Benicia, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Concord will square off against rival Ygnacio Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Benicia is set to challenge their familiar foe Las Lomas at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
