The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Holt nor St. Charles West made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Indians skirted past the Warriors 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Warriors on September 9th, they had to take a 6-2 loss.

Laney Thompson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two triples and two runs.

The victory made it two in a row for Holt and bumps their season record up to 4-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for St. Charles West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holt will face off against Winfield at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for St. Charles West, they will square off against Incarnate Word Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
