Basketball Game Preview: Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans vs. Wyoming Area Warriors

The Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Wyoming Area Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Wednesday, Greater Nanticoke Area lost to Holy Redeemer on the road by a 74-57 margin. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Royals are ranked 117th).

Meanwhile, Wyoming Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 33-19 fall against Wyoming Seminary College Prep.

Wyoming Area's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Greater Nanticoke Area, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Everything came up roses for Greater Nanticoke Area against Wyoming Area when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 57-18 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greater Nanticoke Area since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
