Softball Recap: Northridge Has No Trouble Against Greeley Central

Northridge won the last time they faced Greeley Central and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Grizzlies put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 20-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Naomi Propes made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Bo Tellez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Noelle Rodriguez, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs.

Northridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .652. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Northridge's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8. As for Greeley Central, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Looking ahead, Northridge will square off against Timnath at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cubs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.63 runs per game on average), something the Grizzlies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Greeley Central, they will challenge Wellington at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
