Basketball Recap: Shelby Ostrander's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Piedmont Community Charter over Highland Tech + How To Watch

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shelby Ostrander, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, Ostrander is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game. Bree Phillips was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Highland Tech's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lily Johnson led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine assists. Another player making a difference was Nyla Rae Bailey, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 14 boards.

Piedmont Community Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Highland Tech, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
