Volleyball Preview: Dickinson Gators vs. Brazoswood Buccaneers
Dickinson and Brazoswood are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2019, but not for long. The Dickinson Gators will be playing at home against the Brazoswood Buccaneers at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Dickinson will be strutting in after a win while Brazoswood will be coming in after a defeat.
On Tuesday, Dickinson made easy work of Clear Lake and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gators.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21, 25-14.
Dickinson can attribute much of their success to Daryeon Allen, who had 20 digs. Allen is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Brazoswood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Clear Springs.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-8, 25-12.
Dickinson is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 26-12 record this season. As for Brazoswood, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-25.
