Basketball Recap: Bucktail Comes Up Short

Bucktail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 49-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Millville Quakers. The Bucks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Quakers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Leading Millville to victory were Larissa Evans and Julia Hippenstiel. Evans dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 boards, while Hippenstiel dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Evans' evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Bucktail's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Millville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Bucktail will be playing at home against Benton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Millville, they will venture away from home to face off against Neumann Regional Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
