Baseball Recap: Pelham Gets the Win

Pelham's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pataula Charter Academy Panthers, sneaking past 9-8. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Aubrey Flurry was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Brayden Derossett was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs.

Pelham's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Pataula Charter Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

Pataula Charter Academy will take on Houston County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pelham will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' matchup: after the Panthers face off against the Lions, they'll take on Pelham again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
