Baseball Recap: Beach Beats Savannah for Their Third Straight Win

Beach entered their tilt with Savannah on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Bluejackets get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Julio Ramos was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Greyson Piercy was a standout: he got on base in both of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Jaymz Javier also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Beach always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .895. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Beach's record now sits at 5-2. As for Savannah, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
