Softball Recap: Centralia Comes Up Short at Home Against Oak Grove

Centralia unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Oak Grove by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. Centralia has struggled against Oak Grove recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

The victory was the ninth in a row (dating back to last season) for Oak Grove, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Centralia will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Macon at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. The match will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Oak Grove, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Lee's Summit North on the 30th.
