Recap: Salesian College Preparatory Pride vs. De Anza Dons
The Salesian College Preparatory Pride posted their biggest victory yet this season on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 71-29 win over De Anza on the road. With Salesian College Preparatory ahead 43-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Salesian College Preparatory's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ayla Rege led the charge by scoring 18 points along with two steals. Rege has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madalyn Kanazawa, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
Salesian College Preparatory is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for De Anza, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Salesian College Preparatory and Redwood will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for De Anza, they will head out on the road to face off against Swett at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
