Baseball Game Preview: Tucker Tigers vs. St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions

The Tucker Tigers will face off against the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Tucker has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Tucker came up short against Druid Hills on Friday, falling 19-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Robert Robinson put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed over his last three contests. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Alec Waller was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, St. Pius X Catholic put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Dominion Christian by a score of 7-4. Seven seems to be a good number for the Golden Lions as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

St. Pius X Catholic pushed their record up to 16-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Tucker, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
