Basketball Recap: Lassen Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Lassen and Anderson squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Lassen had to settle for second. They came up short against the Anderson Cubs, falling 70-50. The Grizzlies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cubs earlier this season, when they won 67-64.

It was another big night for Taylor Ford, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 23 boards for Anderson. Ford has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Payten Ford, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.

Lassen has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. Anderson now has a winning record of 15-14.

Lassen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Anderson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-36 loss against University Prep on the 20th.
