Baseball Recap: Lincoln County Comes Up Short

Lincoln County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 8-3 to the Elbert County Blue Devils. If the Red Devils were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in March of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lincoln County's record is now 9-5. As for Elbert County, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln County will square off against Lake Oconee Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elbert County, they will challenge Providence Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Elbert County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
