Soccer Game Preview: Fitzgerald vs. Brantley County

The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane will face off against the Brantley County Herons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Fitzgerald is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Thomasville on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the Bulldogs. The Purple Hurricane have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Brantley County's offense. They came up short against Bacon County on Friday, falling 3-0. The Herons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fitzgerald's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Brantley County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
