Baseball Recap: Osakis Silverstreaks vs. Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Thunder
Osakis had lost seven straight at home, but on Monday they dropped down to 3-15 to make it eight. They lost 11-3 to the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Thunder. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in April.
As for Long Prairie-Grey Eagle, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4. Considering they have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
For Long Prairie-Grey Eagle's part, Gavin Johnson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts Johnson has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
