Baseball Game Preview: Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack vs. Loyola Academy Ramblers

For the second straight game, Saint Ignatius College Prep will face off against Loyola Academy. The Wolfpack will venture away from home to face off against the Ramblers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Things were looking good for Saint Ignatius College Prep after they put the first run on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 4-1 to Loyola Academy. The loss continues a trend for the Wolfpack in their meetings with the Ramblers: they've now lost four in a row.

Owen Walsh was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.

On the hitting side, Saint Ignatius College Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaiden Ponce, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Saint Ignatius College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Loyola Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-16 record.
