Basketball Recap: San Fernando Skates Past Gertz-Ressler with Ease

San Fernando saw some tournament action on Thursday. They blew past the Gertz-Ressler Pumas 57-12.

San Fernando was led to victory by Ilene Lopez and Celeste Beas. Lopez posted 19 points and five rebounds, while Beas earned 15 points and three steals. Beas' afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Delilah Caudillo, who put up four points and seven assists.

San Fernando was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gertz-Ressler only posted one assist.

San Fernando's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Gertz-Ressler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

San Fernando wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-24 victory against Huntington Park on the 20th. As for Gertz-Ressler, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-11 defeat against Bell on the 20th.
