Basketball Recap: Northern Cambria Comes Up Short

Northern Cambria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 52-16 loss at the hands of the Conemaugh Township Indians. The Colts were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-7.

Ava Byer had a dynamite game for Conemaugh Township, going 7 of 13 en route to 15 points and eight rebounds. Byer is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Fetterman, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Northern Cambria's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Conemaugh Township, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northern Cambria will host Glendale at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Conemaugh Township, they will be playing at home against Portage at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
