Preview: Belmont Charter Tigers vs. Prep Charter
The Belmont Charter Tigers will head out on the road to face off against Prep Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Belmont Charter will be strutting in after a win while Prep Charter will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Belmont Charter beat Science Leadership Academy 42-36. The win was just what Belmont Charter needed coming off of a 47-13 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Prep Charter unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 41-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Masterman. While losing is never fun, Prep Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Masterman is ranked 85th).
Belmont Charter now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Prep Charter, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2.
Belmont Charter suffered a grim 52-29 defeat to Prep Charter in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Belmont Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
