West Greene extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Kendra Tharp. The West Greene Pioneers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Avella Eagles 55-52 thanks in part to Tharp, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 18 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game.

Another player making a difference was Madelyn Roberts, who posted 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals. She is becoming a predictor of West Greene's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when she doesn't).

West Greene's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Avella, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Looking ahead, West Greene will challenge Burgettstown at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Avella does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
