Fruita Monument came out on top against Grand Junction Central on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 7-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won nine in a row.

Teagan Clements was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Carmella Fortunato was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lexi Hulet, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Fruita Monument lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Fruita Monument's record is now 9-3. As for Grand Junction Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Coming up, Fruita Monument will take on Castle View in a tournament on Friday. As for Grand Junction Central, they will be taking part in a tournament against Heritage at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
