Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Linn). They put the hurt on the South Callaway Bulldogs with a sharp 21-1 win on Thursday. Considering the Wildcats have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Ava Warren was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Linn got a massive performance out of Anna Peters, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Peters has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Elli Dudenhoeffer, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI.

Linn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for South Callaway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Linn will face off against Parkway West at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Callaway, they will head out to square off against Harrisburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
