Recap: Bret Harte Bullfrogs vs. Calaveras Red Hawks
The Bret Harte Bullfrogs lost against the Calaveras Red Hawks back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Bret Harte was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 40-39 to Calaveras. Bret Harte has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Calaveras to victory were Emma Clark and Izzy Tapia. Clark scored seven points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Tapia scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks. Clark hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games.
Bret Harte's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Calaveras, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bret Harte will square off against Argonaut at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Argonaut is ranked 556th, while Bret Harte is ranked 560th). As for Calaveras, they will head out on the road to take on Summerville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Summerville is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
