Soccer Game Preview: Jenkins vs. Calvary Day

Jenkins is 0-6 against Calvary Day since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Jenkins Warriors will host the Calvary Day Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Jenkins sitting on seven straight victories and Calvary Day on four.

Jenkins proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Southeast Bulloch, sneaking past 3-2. While the Warriors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Eric Baquedano and Joshua Woodley scored all three of Jenkins' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Calvary Day gave up the first goal last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They won by a goal and slipped past Johnson 2-1. That's two games straight that the Cavaliers have won by just one goal.

Jenkins pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those four matches. As for Calvary Day, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Jenkins came up short against Calvary Day in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 4-2. Can Jenkins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
