Basketball Recap: Clairton Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Monessen came into Monday's game looking for another win against Clairton, but Iyanna Wade wouldn't allow it. The Clairton Bears claimed a resounding 91-57 win over the Monessen Greyhounds thanks in part to Wade, who posted 60 points. The match was her 39th in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was K Fuqua, who put up 21 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Clairton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Monessen, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Clairton will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Serra Catholic at 6:30 p.m. As for Monessen, they will face off against Bishop Canevin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
