Baseball Recap: Richland County Tigers vs. Newton Eagles
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Richland County and Newton meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Tigers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 9-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Brody Redman stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
