Basketball Game Preview: MAST Community Charter Panthers vs. Faith Christian Academy Lions

MAST Community Charter is 1-9 against Faith Christian Academy since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the MAST Community Charter Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Faith Christian Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. MAST Community Charter will be strutting in after a win while Faith Christian Academy will be coming in after a loss.

MAST Community Charter is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Bristol: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that MAST Community Charter blew Bristol out of the water with a 50-13 final score. The Panthers pushed the score to 44-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors had no chance of recovering from.

MAST Community Charter relied on the efforts of Rylie Fitzsimmons, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 17 boards, and Tierney Hamilton, who went 8 for 11 to rack up 18 points. Fitzsimmons has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last nine times she's played.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy suffered their biggest defeat since December 19, 2024 on Saturday. They were outmatched by Lower Moreland and fell 66-32. While losing is never fun, Faith Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 447th, while Lower Moreland is ranked 139th).

MAST Community Charter is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points over those games. As for Faith Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

MAST Community Charter came up short against Faith Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 42-37. Can MAST Community Charter avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
