Softball Recap: Valwood Comes Up Short

Valwood managed to slip by Tiftarea Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Valiants lost 12-1 to the Panthers on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Valiants couldn't push the score so high this time.

Valwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karstyn Hamby, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Valwood's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Tiftarea Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Valwood is set to face off against their familiar foe Terrell Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tiftarea Academy will challenge rival Deerfield-Windsor at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
