Hazelwood West entered their tilt with St. Joseph's Academy on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Angels. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 7-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Allisan Cafolla spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hazelwood West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Boschen, who went 1-for-4 with one triple.

Hazelwood West's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for St. Joseph's Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.
