Basketball Recap: Annabel Sanchez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hesperia over Oak Hills

After flying high against Sultana last Thursday, Hesperia came back down to earth. The game between the Hesperia Scorpions and the Oak Hills Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Hesperia Scorpions falling 53-39. The Scorpions have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Several Scorpions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Annabel Sanchez, who posted 12 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Berlynn Miramontes, who earned 13 points and five rebounds.

Hesperia's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Oak Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season.

Hesperia will square off against Serrano at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oak Hills, they will face off against Apple Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
