Basketball Recap: General McLane Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact General McLane can now relate to. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Slippery Rock Rockets on Saturday. The Lancers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Cj Sabo continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Slippery Rock, going 11-for-21 on her way to 23 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals Sabo has posted since back in December of 2024. Madison Romanovich was another key player, putting up 18 points.

General McLane's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Slippery Rock, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

General McLane does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Slippery Rock, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-40 loss against Harbor Creek on the 26th.
