Football Recap: St. Charles Finds Playoff Glory Versus Chesapeake + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Charles had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 41-0 win over the Chesapeake Cougars. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for St. Charles considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.

St. Charles found their leader in sophomore Demarion Evans, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.

St. Charles was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 311 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Special teams played a big role in the game for St. Charles, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Christopher Quick, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

St. Charles' victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Chesapeake, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Coming up, St. Charles will challenge South River on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (St. Charles 10.5, South River 9.9) so any points scored will be well earned. Chesapeake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
