Softball Recap: Afton Comes Up Short

Afton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Chouteau-Mazie Wildcats, falling 17-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-3 back in August.

Afton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Chouteau-Mazie, they pushed their record up to 27-10 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Afton by a score of 16-1 later that day.
