Softball Recap: Lanier Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lanier's last matchup with Milton could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Thursday. The Longhorns lost 9-1 to the Eagles. The Longhorns have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Lanier saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carol Rubio-Hurtado, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lanier's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Milton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lanier will head out to face off against Seckinger at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Longhorns' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Milton, they will head out on the road to square off against Etowah at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
