Basketball Game Preview: Nordhoff Rangers vs. Carpinteria Warriors

Nordhoff is 10-0 against Carpinteria since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Nordhoff Rangers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Carpinteria Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Nordhoff is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Santa Paula just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They received a blow as they fell 56-41 to the Cardinals.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Crystal Ramirez, who went 7 for 17 en route to 16 points and five rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Chloe Jackson, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 14 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Carpinteria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cate.

Nordhoff's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7. As for Carpinteria, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Nordhoff didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Carpinteria in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 48-42 win. Will Nordhoff repeat their success, or does Carpinteria have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
