Basketball Recap: Kashmere Comes Up Short

Kashmere was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 57-48 to the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks.

Hardin-Jefferson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was D'Corian Warren, who made all 5 shots he took for 10 points. Thanks to that strong game, Warren now owns an excellent 47.2% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Sieve, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

Kashmere's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hardin-Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Kashmere didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 89-37 loss against Yates on the 8th. As for Hardin-Jefferson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 76-72 win against Silsbee on the 9th.
