Basketball Recap: Triad Baptist Christian Academy Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Triad Baptist Christian Academy had won five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 7-1 to make it six. They enjoyed a cozy 72-58 victory over the Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots. This was payback for the Titans, who suffered a 59-38 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jayden Pringle produced another solid effort shooting 56% from the field to rack up 27 points and seven assists. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least 16 points. Trent Southern also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

As for Surry HomeSchool, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6-2. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games.

Despite the loss, Surry HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Hayden Williams, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Butcher, who had nine points.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triad Baptist Christian Academy will head out to take on New Manna Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Surry HomeSchool, they will venture away from home to challenge Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Runnin' Patriots will be up against the Stallions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 63.86 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
