Softball Recap: Baldwin Has No Trouble Against Academy of Richmond County

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Laurens, Baldwin was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 21-5 margin over the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Braves' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Suri Clark was incredible, firing off one home run, three triples, and eight RBI while going 4-for-4. Those three triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zuri Grant, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Baldwin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Baldwin's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Academy of Richmond County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Coming up, Baldwin will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Warner Robins at 5:00 p.m. As for Academy of Richmond County, they will venture away from home to challenge Burke County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Musketeers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
