Soccer Game Preview: Enochs vs. Turlock

The Enochs Eagles will face off against the Turlock Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Enochs will be strutting in after a win while Turlock will be coming in after a loss.

Enochs will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Modesto on Thursday. The Eagles blew past the Panthers 9-1. Considering Enochs' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Turlock was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of Downey by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Turlock came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Downey are ranked 606th).

Turlock's goal came courtesy of Natalie Mabe, which was the first she's scored this season.

Enochs' victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-7-3. As for Turlock, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-8.
