Softball Recap: Burns Flat-Dill City Starts Season with Loss at Home

Burns Flat-Dill City unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 36-0 to the Mangum Tigers on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Mangum is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Burns Flat-Dill City and Mangum will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Thomas-Fay-Custer at 6:00 p.m. on September 8. As for Mangum, their break will end when they face Merritt at 5:30 p.m. on September 8.
