Farmersville falls despite strong effort from Jazmaine Stewart

On Saturday, Farmersville was beaten by the Panthers 69-41.

When it comes to explaining why Farmersville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jazmaine Stewart. Despite the final result, she scored 28 points. Stewart has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last nine times she's played.

Ryleigh Schoonover continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Porterville, dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. Schoonover is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Marissa Martin was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds and two steals.

Farmersville's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Porterville, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Farmersville will head out on the road to face off against the Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Orange Cove comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Porterville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Marauders at 6:30 p.m. Monache is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season.
