High school baseball: John Stowers of Alabama, Addy Scott of Florida top national home run leaderboard

University of Georgia commit Cade Brown also among national leaders.

According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, John Stowers of St. Paul's Episcopal (Mobile, Ala.) and Addy Scott of Seffner Christian (Seffner, Fla.) are high school baseball's national home run leaders.

Stowers is hitting .416 on the season and has hit five home runs in his past five games. The sophomore catcher is committed to Auburn and had a career day April 4 when he hit three home runs with six RBI.

Scott is hitting .456 for 16-4 Seffner Christian. Headed to play college baseball at Coastal Alabama, he has gone deep in each of his last two games. During a five-game span during late March and early April, the senior outfielder hit four home runs and batted .538.

Cade Brown or Parkview (Lilburn, Ga.) is No. 3 in the nation with 12 home runs. The Georgia pledge is hitting .494 for the No. 12 team in the nation. Over the past two seasons he has 26 home runs and 49 extra-base hits.
