Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Douglas County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on Banneker with a sharp 21-11 win on Friday. With that victory, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 7.6 runs per game.

Douglas County got a massive performance out of Jaden Brookins, who went 3-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave Brookins a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Malachi Hines, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Douglas County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .684. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Alexander now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Douglas County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
